Pretty Day

Caleb and I spent the majority of our day on the front deck. 

He played away on his sand and water table. His favorite thing so far is to just chunk the sand, either on the deck or in the water haha. While he was doing that, I was working in the yard. We just planted seed for grass, so I watered like I do 4 times a day every day. We already have grass coming up so that's exciting. I am ready for a green yard! Then I finished planting the rest of the flowers and it all looks really pretty :)

I Love Spring!

Caleb and I met up with a few friends at the park today. It was such a pretty day! Caleb went down the slide all by himself for the first time!! Head first of course haha. He started out on the little slides and then saw a big kid go down the fast tunnel slide and followed after him. I made it to the other side just in time to catch him haha. He's so cute.

Then we went home so he could nap and I planted some flowers. I got roses and just different flowers to plant in pots on our front deck. I ran out of soil though so I was only able to plant the roses. I'll finish the flowers tomorrow. I'll probably get more to plant too because I found some extra pots in our garage. I love spring. 

Caleb's First Birthday

Caleb is 1! 

(I know I'm a little late on this post, but I've been really busy lately.)

I can't believe how quickly this past year has flown. It's so crazy to think that a year ago, I was holding my tiny little baby with so much joy and love. I didn't think I could EVER love him more than I did at that moment. I was so wrong. It's crazy how much more I love him today than I did a year ago.

On Caleb's birthday we went to the mexican restaurant in our town with family. He was serenaded by the waiters and ate almost an entire piece of cheese cake! Then for his birthday party, we had a huge bash at our house. HUGE. I walked into birthday planning very naively and didn't think it would end up so crazy (there were 20 kids there, 9 being babies 1 and under) Despite the craziness, it was really fun.We are so blessed with great friends and family. Caleb's dessert of choice was a cupcake. Caleb won't put ANYTHING into his mouth, which is really nice not worrying about him choking etc. BUT this includes food. Oh, and he eats all day long. Our second won't be able to get away with this haha. Anyways, so I put the cupcake up to his mouth to see if he would take a bite and he just started sucking on it haha. He's so cute. He had a really great birthday :)

I had Caleb's great Aunt Twila take pictures at the party, so as soon as I get those, I'll share all of the pictures!

I think Caleb probably weighs about the same (22 lbs). He hasn't really grown much and is still in the same size clothes he's been wearing since he was 6 months. I have his doctor's appointment soon so I'll update that when I know.

He's not really doing any new tricks these days. Just crawling around fast like a pro, talking up a storm (dada is a favorite word), and laughing and smiling all of the time. He's so much fun. 

We survived Death Valley!

We went camping this past weekend with Jordan's family. It was for his Aunt Twila's 50th. We actually stayed in Panamint Springs which is just outside Death Valley. It was about 15-20 degrees cooler and was actually pretty cold in the mornings and night. It was a lot of fun. We got there Friday night so we just sat around the fire and ate hot dogs and smores. On Saturday, we drove to Dante's View which is really spectacular. It looks over badwater; which is the lowest place in the southern hemisphere. Then we drove down to badwater and walked around. On our way back we got date shakes which were especially yummy since we were so hot! Death Valley is huge, so it was a lot of driving that day.  We celebrated Twila's birthday that night and ate a lot of good food :) Sunday, we got up and ate breakfast and packed everything up and everyone went their separate ways. Jordan and I decided to go on this really cool hike that was really close to where we camped. It was really pretty and green for the dessert! The hike dead ended at a beautiful waterfall and Jordan took a little swim :) It was a really fun time, I'm so glad that we did that together!

1st Hair Cut

Caleb had his hair cut for the first time today!

He hated every minute of it!! 

Jamie did it and was so great. 

She did a perfect job even though Caleb was going crazy!

Then we went home and had a picnic outside in our front yard since it's such a pretty day today! I took pictures of his new do while we were out having fun :)

Valentine's Day

Emily and her kids hosted a Valentine's Day breakfast. 

It was really cute and a lot of fun.
