Halloween

Halloween was really fun this year. Caleb was a lumberjack! Jordan's idea :) It was so cute! We went trick or treating, even though it was more like WE were trick or treating, not Caleb haha. And then we got together with a ton of friends for chili at my sister in law's house. We did it last year too and it has been really fun.

Here are some pictures from our night.

I can't pick just one! I love him!!

Caleb LOVES:

Sticks. He has a stick in his hand most of the time. It's the easiest way to make his day, just hand him a stick. We don't buy toys these days because of this haha.

Swiffer mop. I took out the inserts and made ours Caleb-sized and he is obsessed with it. He likes to help me clean with it. He is the cutest.

Wrestling. This child loves to wrestle. It makes him laugh so much. There have been a few injuries already. One time his mouth and my knee collided. My knee hurt really bad so I can only imagine how his poor mouth felt. He was so brave and sweet though.

Balls. (I think I need to grow up a little bit because I just laughed to myself.) We have an athlete on our hands, no question about it. He loves playing with balls and loves watching other people play sports. If he sees anyone playing with any type of ball he just stares in awe.

His blankey. A good family friend made him one and he has a slight obsession with it. And by slight, I mean MAJOR. If anything ever happened to that thing, we'd be in a ton of trouble!

Dogs. He loves all animals but dogs are by far his favorite. He loves our boys and likes to pet them, kiss them, and hug them. I think Ralph (my dog) is his favorite too. He also started a game with them which involves throwing a ball at the screen door and watching the dog's reaction. He gets hysterical during this game, which is always a fun thing to watch. Oh and whenever he hears dogs, he "barks" and looks around for them.

Outdoors. He loves to be outside and exploring! He likes to find sticks and gets really excited when he finds a good one. We spend a lot of time at the park during the week!

Stuffed Animals. He recently started to really love stuffed animals. He hugs them and kisses them. Sometimes if I ask him for a kiss, he will give me a funny smirk and then kiss his stuffed dog and refuse to give me one haha.

Reactions. LOVES them. He will do something over and over again if he gets a reaction from whatever it is he did. Sometimes I'll react surprised to something he does just to get some laughs out of him. It's hard teaching him about things that can hurt him though. Pointing to something and saying "Ouch!! Hot!!" is the worst thing to say since he thinks people getting hurt is funny. He really is my child. All those times I laughed at someone getting hurt (not seriously hurt of course) are coming back to haunt me haha.

Daddy. He wants to be just like him and I can't blame him! He gets so excited when he gets home from work and loves to follow him around.

Big Kids. He just stares at them. One of my friends has an 8 year old son and Caleb is obsessed with him. And whenever he sees big kids anywhere, he just stares at them. So cute to watch.

A Crafty Fam Summer

This summer has been fun filled. 

Truly one of the best summers of my life.

Blair and Aaron got married on May 21st. It was such a beautiful wedding and Blair was the most stunning bride I've ever seen. It was a really fun weekend and a much needed reunion with good friends.

Jordan earned a trip to Wyoming through work. So proud of him! It was my first time to be away for Caleb and it was really nice to just be with Jord! We rode horses, shot a ton of guns/bow, saw buffalo, rode mountain bikes, had FREE spa services, had a paintball tournament (my team won), best food ever, a hoe down,  sang karaoke, and they even had shiner there!! I loved kicking back on the big porch with a pretty view with my favorite beer and a good book. 

My cousins, Neely and Mallory, and my mom and Dallas visited in June. I had never just hung out with Neely and Mallory before, so it was really nice. I loved getting to know them better. We went to San O one day and then I took them through Laguna, Newport, and Huntington. 

We spent lots of very early mornings at San O. I really love the beach early in the morning. I think I'm meant to live by the beach. To get there by 6 we would leave our house around 4:30 or so. It's worth it too. This beach is awesome because they only let a certain number of cars in at a time and you park your car right up to where you are on the beach. So you're not lugging a ton of stuff and you're never right next to another group of people. A lot of the people who go there have been going there for years and they have a lot of pride in the beach and keeping it nice. It's not rare to see an older man raking the beach and picking up trash. 

Caleb wasn't happy when I took a choke sized rock out of his mouth. A ba ba fixed that quick. 

You can always tell when my boy is getting sleepy.

Blair moved to California!!!

at Tresles. In the wagon with him is Ewan. He's a little younger than Caleb and super cute. They have a very love/hate relationship haha and his mom and I enjoy watching their smack downs. I'm glad she finds it as funny as I do or it would be awkward.

Jordan has gotten really good at surfing. I've gone twice this summer. I suck. And I was paranoid I was going to flash someone the entire time. Last person I flashed at the beach was my father in law, so you can understand my paranoia. I blame big waves. They can do a number on a bikini top.

Update

I've been bad about updating this.

We are all doing really well. We've been really busy having fun :) We are headed to Dallas, Texas on Thursday for one of my best friend's wedding! It's going to be so much fun and I'm so excited to get to spend some time with friends from college. I made some of the greatest friends in college and I have missed them terribly! My parents are coming up to watch Caleb for us from Friday night-Sunday morning. This will be my first time to be away from Caleb like that and I'm nervous but I must admit that I am VERY excited. I am obsessed with my little boy but I am looking forward to a break and just spending time with my husband and friends.

I'm still waiting for more pictures from Caleb's 1st Birthday but I will add a few that I have, then a sneak peek of his year pictures, and then just a few random ones. Get ready, cause these are adorable..

Brittany was on vacation in San Diego so we went to see her for the day! It was so great to see her and catch up. Caleb loved  her a lot! 

oops these are out of order :) Caleb is the happiest baby on earth but somehow we captured him sobbing next to his easter basket two years in a row hahah.

This is a dog that hangs out where I go to get waxed. She is so sweet with Caleb. They sat like that for a really long time, I had to get a picture!
